Trust starts with reviews
Choosing a dentist, physiotherapist or private clinic feels personal. New patients want to know that the team is kind, explains things clearly and runs on time. Recent Google reviews are often the first place they look, and a practice with few or old reviews can lose bookings to one down the road.
Most satisfied patients are happy to help, but healthcare visits end quickly and people have other things on their mind. A discreet QR code makes it easy for them to share their experience later, in their own time.
A respectful way to ask
Personal QR codes let each practitioner, hygienist or receptionist invite feedback without any pressure. A small card at the reception desk, on appointment cards or in an aftercare leaflet is enough. Patients can scan straight away or keep the card for later.
- Hand a practitioner's card with the next appointment reminder.
- Add a code to aftercare and treatment plan leaflets.
- Show a location code on a small sign at reception.
Privacy first
The review page asks only for a star rating and lets the patient choose their words. Suggested drafts focus on the experience, such as a friendly welcome, a calm explanation or an easy booking, never on conditions or treatments. Patients should never feel they need to share health details in public.
Every patient can always post a public Google review. If something did not go well, they can also send a private message to the practice manager, while the Google link remains visible. That helps you respond with care without discouraging public feedback.
Follow the rules
Google does not allow incentives for reviews, so never offer discounted check-ups or gifts in exchange. Ask all patients, not only the ones you expect to be happy, and never write or post reviews on their behalf. Some professional bodies also have their own guidance on testimonials, so check what applies to your practice.
One dashboard for every practice
Groups with multiple clinics can add each one as a location with its own Google review link and compare results side by side. You can also see which team members patients mention most, and recognise them internally. Read our tips on how to get more Google reviews for more ideas.
Common questions
Should a review mention a patient's treatment?
No need. Patients choose what to write. Our suggested drafts focus on the experience, such as a warm welcome or clear explanations, not medical details.
Does it work for dental practices?
Yes. Dental, physio, optician, vet and medical clinics all use the same simple setup.
